Car Insurance (revisited)

Okay, so I got car insurance. I got a North Dakota driver's license so that they'd run my driving record under North Dakota, which is free of any tickets or accidents. I actually ended up paying about the same as I did for insurance in California. $513 every 6 months. I think I was paying $400-ish every 6 months in California. Supposedly it's higher because ND has more minor collision and road debris claims (stupid winter weather here).
